Meet the team!

At Unifonic, our Legal & Compliance team is responsible for managing and enhancing the legal and compliance function. We focus on all legal affairs and compliance of the company to anticipate issues and to find proactive and practical solutions for the business. 


Help us shape the future of communication by:

  • Providing management with effective legal advice on business issues and company-related legal strategies.

  • Overseeing the work of outside counsels as and when we outsource legal work.

  • Ensuring the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and helping prepare briefs, complaints, motions, and other court documents.

  • Advising the human resources department on employment law and labor and benefits issues.

  • Driving, supporting, and negotiating partnership/M&A contracts and agreements.

  • Drafting and negotiating complex contracts such as government contracts, and enterprise sales contracts, and providing litigation support if necessary.

  • Setting and contributing to high standards in the company’s internal governance and control policies and procedures and managing the impact of external factors.

  • Anticipating and identifying legal or compliance-related issues and estimating related risks; as well as identifying proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks.

  • Creating associations of trust and respect with key internal and external stakeholders (external counsel, regulators, clients, etc).

  • Attracting, developing, directing, and motivating a top-notch legal team.

  • Keeping abreast of legislative changes; researching legislation where the company intends to expand its business.

Job requirements

What you'll bring:

  • Hands-on 10+ years of relevant experience and 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a publicly listed company on the Saudi Stock Exchange.
  • Proven ability to provide entrepreneurial, quick-thinking, pragmatic, and business-oriented advice and to properly balance risks and business rewards.

  • Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, labor law, etc.); understanding of Saudi law, international law, telecom, and stock market listing regulation/rules, and data and privacy law is a plus.

  • The ability to structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume and a broad range of contracts; mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and fundraising experience is a plus.

  • Experience from an IPO process in KSA is a plus

  • Passionate about technology in general and the intersection of tech, business, and law.

  • Team player with a strong ability to motivate and influence a diverse set of stakeholders and world-class interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Self-starter, able to work independently and entrepreneurial in a dynamic environment; high degree of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or J.D. degree.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
